Arrival
Arrival by bicycle
From Potsdam Central Station it is only 15 kilometres to Werder. Thus, the journey may be combined with a beautiful bike tour. Werder, for example, is a station on the Havel Bike Path: the section between Potsdam via Werder (Havel) to Brandenburg an der Havel is around 60 kilometres long. Our 22-kilometer panoramic trail Obstpanoramaweg is one of the most attractive bike paths in Brandenburg, especially in the spring. Along the trail, during the blossom season, fruit farms open their gates to visitors. |
Arrival by bus
Werder is easy to reach via many bus lines. From Potsdam, for example, the buses 580, 607 and 631 bring you to our city. The bus 607 takes the route via Caputh and Ferch, the bus 580 continues to Bad Belzig. Furthermore, Werder is connected to Beelitz via the Plusbus route 641. For the event "Trees in bloom in courtyards and gardens", additional special buses take visitors from the Werder train station to the plantations. Current timetables are available at regiobus Potsdam Mittelmark. |
Arrival by train
The regional express train RE1 (Cottbus-Berlin-Magdeburg) is your best transportation choice to get from Berlin to Werder. The RE1 takes you from Ostbahnhof, Alexanderplatz Station, Friedrichstrasse, Zoologischer Garten, Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Zoo, Charlottenburg, Wannsee and Potsdam to the train station in Werder. The timetable is available on the Deutsche Bahn Website. |
Arrival by boat
Arriving by boat offers a particularly beautiful experience. The ‘Weisse Flotte’ (White Fleet) takes passengers from Potsdam on the river Havel to the Old Town on the island of Werder (Havel). Current timetables are available at Weisse Flotte. |
